For the money alone no not enough to make it worth it. However as others have said there is a lot more that has to go into a decision like that such as potentially, leaving family behind, differences in weather, taxes, housing costs, carreer advancement etc. All of those things should be considered when making a decision like that.

There would have to be more perks to go with it than just a $10k salary increase.

I was telling my mom the other day that I don't see myself going to the private sector unless I get at least double what I make working for the state right now.

Yeah but the person with the opportunity doesn't really care for the job now and there isn't much growth with this job.
