I'll have Rick call you in the morning and let you know how long it will take to get one in" I knew they'd take care of it. Oh, and they washed Ladybug today after fixing the seat - AND re-dyed my stitching for me!
If you're still under warranty, they provide loaner cars, too. Crappy Malibus, but something to drive at no extra charge.

Hey everyone, tomorrow's FRIDAY!!!!!
Puyallup Chevrolet. I'm glad you like Sunset. But like the steering wheel. Why did you gave to discover it? It doesn't sound like the technician was careful and tried to pass it off. I'm afraid of nicks, dings, scratches and stuff I find after leaving thier lot. I'm glad you mentioned the car washing. I'll tell them not to do it. As you may have gathered, I'm pretty particular about my car. Perhaps a little ocd?

When the wheels are straight, the damage to the leather is not noticeable AT ALL. I only noticed it because I could feel it when I turned the wheel to get out of the parking spot. My guess is that the tech maybe felt a bump like he hit something, then looked but didn't see anything. They are straight up guys there, I don't think they were hiding anything. As far as the washing goes? I know they have a GREAT detail shop, and the manager there has show cars, so no way do they take the car to a drive through car wash.... I'm very OCD about Ladybug, too. I also know the guys at Sunset well enough to trust them. Seriously - they refer to my car as Ladybug, so they know me and how particular I am too! Leaving her at a dealership I've never dealt with? That would give me chest pain and palpitations....
Speaking of the dealership.... When I pulled into the service bay, right next to me was a convertible black Hennessy Camaro.... I asked if that was my loaner...

Totally agree on the letting the dealership wash my car. I specifically tell them not to touch anything if they get it dirty leave it and let me know.

The manager of the detail shop at my dealership was the one who gave me instructions on how to wash my car... I trust them. I wouldn't let anyone else, though... not even my husband.

I'm glad you trust Sunset. Since I haven't had mine in any shop yet, I am having chest pains! I'm making them fill out and sign a vehicle damage diagram sheet, like you do for rental cars. I have been bitterly disappointed at shops in the past. I have lost respect for the vehicle service industry. I know that's a huge generalization, but I've just seen too many shady tactics. Wish me luck!
