http://www.muscleandstrength.com/art...atural-lifters
just found this, thought it was pretty interesting, it applies only to natural raw lifters...what are your takes on this? judging by that i am almost "pro" deadlift, but "extremely strong" for bench and squat. My best to worst lifts would be as followed... #1 Deadlift (best) #2 Bench #3 Squat (worst) An "extremely strong" total for my weight class would be 925lbs, which I'm above, closer to 1k...I like charts like this because it gives me a goal to work for, even if it isn't 100% accurate I would always strive to push for those pro numbers

My only "issue" with the article is it is written by a raw lifter who you can tell is "anti gear" and he makes broad, general statements, which are actually NOT correct. IE if someone benches 1000 most likely they don't bench 700 without a shirt. Someone that is "new" to the sport would infer from this that you, and everyone gets 300lbs out of a bench shirt which is bullshit. If it were true I'd bench 715 as a 198lb, lifetime drug free, master lifter ![]() Edit....I think you have a bright future in the sport. Just keep plugging along and remember it's a marathon....not a sprint.

I agree with you, although I will probably never trained geared, I'm not team raw. Many people are like that though and bash equipped pl'ers...I just have a love for the sport either way

That's awesome you feel that way! The "sport" really started dying, declining, and being divided when the "gangster gear" started coming out and the "raw heads" started with the "well if he wasn't wearing blah blah blah"....Sport needs more "new blood" and lifters such as yourself that DGAF how you lift....just lift. One of the funniest quotes from Louie is "I've got a triple layer bench shirt and a bottle of test in the corner and I've never seen either one of them lift anything".

I have a question. I was looking at state records for the federation I'm in. I'll be competing in New York.
http://www.revolutionpowerlifting.co...taterecord.php so does that mean if i get more then any of those lifts that I will beat his record? I know they have "championship" meets ..I'm competing raw classic 148 open

When you get to lifting with the "big boys" it would need to be a state meet or it could be a local meet, with QUALIFIED judges, and calibrated plates. What's your age? I think you are a junior and if so you would be knocking on the DL record for a 3 lift meet. http://www.worldpowerliftingcongress...AAPF%20RAW.htm The records in the link I posted above are National records.

Yes i'm a junior but Im going to compete in open....I was in the junior class but I switched because it was so specific i'd be barely competing against anyone I was
Amature (random drug test) Raw Classic (there is also raw modern, which is knee wraps & knee sleeves) 148 Junior ...when you sign up it was mandatory to pick all those options I decided to email the director today and switch to open, just so I have a little more competition lol http://meets.revolutionpowerlifting....urrextion-iii/ you can see the people competing below

thanks everyone again!
here is my 455 deadlift! I couldnt believe how fast it went up. I got first place in deadlift in my class and second place for total. I missed my 3rd attempt on bench and squat but it's alright still learning how to pick numbers out. I also got 10th place for revolution powerlifting top 10 deadlift for my class in all the meets they did so far.

230 for bench Pretty sure I could of got those, maybe it was nerves? My bench as you know has decreased but weekly it is going up from now on (i was benching about 260lbs). My gym bests were about 10lbs less then my 3rd attempt. Deadlift i felt confident in and was so amped up, especially when I saw the person before me in my weight class fail at 450lbs, that made me really want to get it, plus i needed to get my total up...great experience, definitely something I want to continue doing for a very long time.. still can't believe how fast that 455lbs deadlift went up. My gym best was 445 and went up painfully slow...I bet I could of got 465-475
