Who needs a hood anyways.

The guy with a new vette (replaced his 2000) down the street from me and an advisor from school with a Cayman GT4 both recommended the "let it sleep" method, so that's what I've been doing besides adding some aesthetic mods. It seems this forum is pretty evenly split about how to handle winter sleepin
I usually start it, let it warm up for 5-10 then rev it once or twice.. Charges the battery, gets some fluids moving and lubricated.

This used to be the go to method for anything carbureted.

Did you do an oil change right before, or are you doing it after? Also, no tender I'm guessing?

Headers are EASY. Remove your plug wires and plugs. Unbolt the steering shaft to get that out of the way.

The hardest part is putting the dipstick back after installing the passenger header.

Do I need to get longer plug wires or are the stock ones fine?

Stock ones work fine. You may opt to get fiberglass boots for them if they look close to the primary tubes.

Yea, they come with them. They're supposed to come tomorrow, and the axle back monday. Contemplating between having my tuner do a basic tune or a full dyno/street tune. He said $250 for the basic and $450 for a dyno tune

Do you have an intake also? If so, do the dyno tune. You'll pick up a few extra since I bet the basic is super conservative.
