Exactly, you aren't weird at all. The general public put Tiger up on that pedestal...don't get mad when he falls off it it...they put him there. He's just playing golf. Do I condone what he did...nope...but it has nothing to do with me. Do I still think he is one of the best golfers in the world?...yep

1. what is most interesting is why so many women would come forward when they could make millions just by remaining silent. perhaps the ones coming forward did not receive their payments yet?

2. it is more interesting why someone so high profile/wealthy would deliberately do anything that would make their homelife situation-more-complicated/worse. no one knows what he is going through. he is likely a sex addict.

3. it is not so much about cheating. on the surface it looks like he "purchased" a wife to begin with. Would she have dated/married Tiger if he made 50K a year? If not, then the basis of his marriage would have led him to do anything he wanted. Would any of these beautiful women be involved with him if he wasn't rich? I guess he doesn't care as long as they are on their knees.

His marriage is just a business arrangement so he can have some kids with someone who normally would not have anything to do with him.
Unfortunately most marriages are exactly like this. A guy wants to marry someone who they think they don't deserve. the girl usually is attracted to stability. these two types who marry each other DO NOT necessarily see each other as the type they want to F___. that always happens. its so typical. You want a "ho", you just don't want to be married to one.

IT DOESN'T MATTER.

He's a golfer.

One of the best around.

~ If you're a parent and you're worried that Tiger is teaching your children that it's ok to cheat on your wife and have many sexual partners, including porn stars... Then you need to do more parenting and stop letting the TV babysit your kids.

I don't even like golf.

And it's the parent's job to do some parenting if the kid ever hears about this hockey player doing anything "immoral".

First I guess I never liked Tiger much, as a golfer. Many of my golfing buddies give me a hard time about it.

My rationale? He was about creating an image to make money. Years ago he told some off color jokes in an interview. The door to Tigers world slammed shut. I just never felt like we knew the real guy. Now we do.

As for hero worship, I grew up with Jack Nicklaus as my hero. Because of his golfing skill and accomplishments and his ability to stand up tallest when it counted the most. But even more so, he was always a gentleman. He came in second place in more majors than he won and the constant theme from the guys he beat was how he genuinely was happy for THEM. By all appearances a great husband and father.

Now perhaps he is a real life scumbag, but I doubt it. Did I want to be like him? Yes, but mostly as a golfer and gentleman.

So should your kids have heros? I think so. Does it have to be you as a parent? Well I guess it's nice if it can work out that way. But I am tired of athletes wanting our money yet wanting to act like scoundrels and have it be ok.

Oh and my answer, Tigers a scumbag. But I'll bet you he gets a standing ovation the next time he tees it up. And that's the bad side of hero worship.

Somebody at work said,"Tiger Woods has seen more action that the USS Nimitz", Its just sad that a public figure who was so much admired has thrown his reputation in the toilet....
