Not really. My dilemma is that I honestly would prefer a full size truck, but it's not going to fit in my garage (thanks 1989 construction), plus it'll be more expensive. But if the T1XX truck is as good as I hope...

GM needs to step up and make something to compete against the Raptor with the new platform.

You can see youtube reviews of the new Raptor. they give it excellent remarks except when it comes down to the engine. Every review says it needs a V8 and not the twin turbo p.o.s. they put in there. Sounds like rice.

Loosing 7 mpg is a problem for me.
A few scenarios currently running through my head
Thinkin to buy or trade with a regular Colorado bumper and put it on a zr2 + 31" ltx ms tire
Buy a canyon SLT and put the zr2 suspension kit on it
Raptor
Or just f it and get a nice normal full size truck

I like a quality suspension I've had a truck with a quality mid travel suspension with resis. I want that again, a factory variant has to be awesome. The lockers are a bonus

Just curious, where did you see this? I know this is apples and oranges to some degree, but this suggests it's not as big a deal as you might think.

Over 19,073.5 miles with the air dam attached, we netted 23.30 mpg. In the 6,903.3 miles we’ve covered since removing the air dam, an admittedly much smaller sample size, we’ve achieved 23.13 mpg, which is a statistically insignificant 0.72 percent difference between the two.

Here you go http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/Find....n=sbs&id=38697
Also on the sticker

I was looking at the duramax. So 29mpg for the z71 and 22 for the zr2

On the zr2 it's not just the lack of valance, the bumper is mostly gone I front of the tire.

The standard bumper still blocked a lot of air. I'm thinking it allowing the air to get up in the top of the wheel well and it's acting like a parachute.

I think the current Silverado is excellent. Just missing some tech that the f150 has. I don't want to derail this thread but how much of a overhaul can we expect?

Interior doesn't seem like it'll change a whole lot, hopefully they'll add in features people are asking for (rear air vents for one).

Exterior should see more changes and more aluminum.
