Bowling was TUFF lastnight. Alot of smoking going on. I even made the decision to just have one. Just one. JUST ONE.

BUT..............after bumming one from one of the guys, I just carried it around for a while thnking about you guys. Put it behind my ear, like a pencil, and ended up in my car with it. It's in the center cubby. I feel like Superman when he explained about the first 'Chrystal' that 'called to him'. It's 'calling' to me.

Don't worry, I won't smoke it. It's actually kind of cool. It's like I can look at it and say screw you pal, You're gonna sit there and be good. From lastnite to this morning it's kinda become a game.

I even started to make excuses for having 'just one'. I was rationalizing in my head so many excuses it would make your head spin. Stuff like, "I'll just smoke until my e-Cig gets here".

I'm still going OK right now but it's getting harder. This morning is Saturday. And Saturday is really slow here in the office. I usually sit out front on the bench, read the paper, drink coffee, and SMOKE. :upset:

I know how hard it is to quit smoking. I dipped for 7 years and got up to 2 can a day habit. I promised my wife I would quit when our first child was born and I did. Went cold turkey and haven't touched it sense (9 years). I know the worst time is when your around others who do and you just want to knock them down, take their cigs, and make like a train around the room. Don't beat yourself up if you fall off the wagon when you first start, the main goal is to still quit. Keep focused. You may need to try the patch and even a medication to help depending on how dependent you are. Wellbutrin is a anti-depression drug that is used for helping people to stop smoking. People tend to have very little side effects from the drug and also helps the person not to take up another habit in it's place. I am sure you have seen that when a lot of people stop smoking that food fills that void. Becareful of that! One thing to remember is that you are not just trying to quit smoking, you are really trying to quit two to things: the habit and the addiction! Good luck! If YOU want to stop you will!!!
