Been a productive couple weeks, the new job doesn't completely suck, dad is now back at home, still have a long way to go to recover. But he is getting there. Got to go racing for the first time in a little over a year, raced my girlfriends 2016 Corolla in a bracket race to Mo-Kan Dragway, didn't do real great, but still got the 1st round win. And turned it red by -.004 in the 2nd round. After we got home, Sarah talked me into messing with the Camaro a bit more, finally found the timing issue id been having, and it fired up like it had never been apart. Probably one of the greatest feelings ever. Now im taking the driveshaft to the local shop to have it balanced, and have the new front runners mounted, the goodyears have had a long life lol.

That is just super to hear about your dad, hope he keeps on recovering.

That Corolla sounds fast, right about racergirl speed. hehehe. And you better get that Camaro dialed in for Camarofest, look forward to seeing you there.

Thanks Hank, and the Corolla, haha. 18.00 at 81mph. Got quite a top end charge for that E.T. Unfortunately, now I have to undo about 2/3 of the work ive just completed on the Camaro. Had a brand new th400 built for it, and the builder put the sprag in backwards.... so I have P-R-N-1st, when I shift to 2nd, it locks the entire driveline. Good thing I was just idling around the yard when I found that out.

damn, that would of been expensive to find out on the track. Hopefully, you get a chance to see the builder, and give a giant slap across the face. Sometimes, a gentle reminder will help the next time he is task a job.

Eh, if I had other options within 200 miles id be more inclined to do so. Transmissions are one of the very few things I wont re-build myself.

I'll build a TH350. When you start with 4l60e... That's when I give it to my transmission guy. I mean mine has mostly billet internals now anyway.

I couldn't handle anything with electronics on it. lol my TH400 has a reverse pattern, manual valve body. I don't have proper tools to confidently even begin to mess with a transmission. I do just fine with engines, differentials, etc. Basically everything but a transmission.
