We drove all over the island since we were there for a week and it was beautiful.

Talking about it makes me miss the food especially the Mofongo and Tostones
We planing on going this coming summer, and OMG the food! How much I miss it!!! Here some family photos so you can get the idea...

It is very nice but like everywhere you have to be careful where you go. When we were out at night in San Juan and Isla Verde which are the tourist locations we were sure to have noting special on us. Luckily my family and I blend in as locals.

Once you get out of the tourist locations the crime is not bad.

crime is everywhere, but she doesn't have to worry about blend in, there's so many mix colors in PR that you don't know who is local anymore... only if you not toasty!

I am not gonna disagree with you on the whole crime thing since you lived there and will know better than me but there have been stories of relatives being held to gun point in their home before.

I hear it is mostly safe. I can't seeing it being any worse that NYC or DC.

Or Charleston, this place is crazy and I am glad I have Jason to sleep next to everynight.

They are right in Vejo San juan next to a Old spanish fort called El Moro and lets just say its a place that some Police officers will not go into.
