Is it just me or do those look pretty rusted? I can't tell if it's just surface rust though

i'd have to see those in person. seems like an awful lot of rust for only being on a car 8 months. I would probably pass on that opportunity.

Well they can't be completely fixed but that would depend on how bad the rust is. The pictures make them look pretty badly rusted and like an exhaust leak waiting to happen. If that is only 8 months on a car he must have driven through a field of salt.

I'm not even sure what to tell you for a price because I honestly wouldn't do the deal. The amount of time it would take to get them back in a good condition and having to recoat them so they would be ceramic again would put you at the same price range as a new set of OBXs

So, leaves me with
1. Find black hood and get ACS carbon fiber insert
2. Get resonated x-pipe and weld that onto the LS3 catback i have
Your going to do the resonated X-pipe? And why a black hood?

Hmm I wonder how that would look with having the rear stripes on the deck lid and spoiler.

honestly, if I lived up north like you, where there's salt on the roads, I would spend the extra cash to get stainless steel headers. Might even pay to ceramic coat the stainless steel. lol I've installed a few long tube headers, and would rather just do it once per car. I think if you got those bbk's, you'd have to replace them after a couple of years, maybe even sooner. So it's really up to you, if you think it's worth it, for $200 or less.

Same with the pacesetters, if they aren't "armor coated", I think that's what they call it, I would go ahead and ceramic coat those before putting them on. I know we will end up getting another set of pacesetters one day, and ceramic coat them, before putting them on Jewel.
