Well you can still take it to the track.....just not an NHRA certified event. My home track doesn't batt an eye at cars running 9's during test and tunes. Safe...unsafe..right...wrong... Not for this discussion.

I agree they should have just caged the damn thing but they instead used the middle finger to the NHRA as more marketing and image hype for their Halo car to sell other cars and further the image of their in your face brand. Win for dodge..loss for us...but if you can afford the Demon the extra scratch for the cage is not that much. Most unfortunately with only 3000 produced and ADM the majority will end up garaged.

Dear lord, turn the page. "It's still a Dodge" comments are childish.

According to this article, MSRP is $85,000, but with only 3,000 being made for the US, ADM will be significant. Six figures anyone?
3000 seems like a ton. How many Hellcats have they sold? I'll be surprised if the arms last long with 3000 of them.

Yes. I cannot recall which model Porshe but I want to say 911 GT4. There was one at the speed event I did at the Kennedy Space Center.

Found it..GT3....with factory roll cage option it looks like.

Hellcat sales are probably past 30k now. 8k in 2015 alone and double that in 2016

Serial number 001 sold for over 800k at Barret Jackson....wonder if they will do the same with the Demon. I'd bet on north of 1 million if they do.

People will pay to be first I guess....car MSRPs for the mid to high 60's now.....

Sold all 8k Hellcats produced in 2015, doubled production in 2016, still going in 2017 with numbers over very likely over 30k now. (Actual cannot be known until after model year and my numbers rounded to nearest thousand for simplicity). 3k Demons will sell out as fast as they are produced assuming dealers don't go 50k on ADM...which they will initially but they will all sell and sadly most will be in garages owned by folks who won't drive them. At MSRP and if you let folks pre-order...they'd be gone real real fast.

Why is this in the ZL1 sub forum?

Cool car for what it is but not that interested in a single purpose drag car that will be hella' expensive to insure.

Beast of a car but sales will be harder as a two seater ONLY car. At least with the ZL1, Z/28 or Hellcat you have a four seater...
By far the most uneducated post I've ever seen on this forum. You know nothing about the target market for this vehicle or the needs/wants of that market. Please provide data to backup your claim (I already know you won't be able to).
