Yeah, makes you wonder doesn't it? I wonder if the V6 & V8 guys beat up the I-4 boys or the V6 & I-4 beat up the V8 guys . First World problems an' all that.....

The v6 is great if you love flooring you car at every stop light and some intersections without the worry of killing yourself, outhers and your wallet. You really cant do that in the v8 without buying new tires and refueling all the time, so there is a place for the v6.

...But I just purchased a 15 2ss so now I'm on team V8. V6's are for children who cant drive.

Ha just teasing. I loved my 2012 1Ls but I'm much happier with my V8.

I too started with a V6 (2010 2LT M6), and had quite a bit of fun with it. That being said, the upgrade to the SS was a no brainer.

+1....I'm in my 50's as well and have no regrets about my 1LT. Been there and done that with my V8 '69 Camaro. Really like the V8's then and now but really am enjoying the V6.

It's not JUST fuel or JUST insurance, it's everything, and it's over the life of the car for most instead of just a single initial outlay:

Higher initial cost
Insurance is higher
More fuel
More expensive fuel
Potential to go through tires more often
More expensive maintenance (6 v 8 spark plugs, etc)

But who the hell cares? Someone who bought their V6 did not spend YOUR money on THEIR car. Drive yours, worry about yours.

I could have bought a V8. I chose to save the extra money from a depreciating asset and invest it as a down payment on a rental property.

Now it's depreciation? Did you evaluate color differences too?

Honestly I would of enjoyed an ss but couldn't find one in price range and for the deal I got on my 10 Camaro LS I couldn't pass it up I'm happy with this as I'm only 20 but soon as I build my credit good enough and can save up for a v8 I'm going all in on buying one but for now I'm satisfied but in the end it's all love for all Camaros
