Two for the price of one:
What year did Chevrolet switch from the fat whitewall tires to the thinner whitewall ? What year did Chevrolet switch from clear lens park/turnsignal lamps to the amber lens?

Without looking at the Internet, I'm going to say 61 or 62 on the tires. No clue on the lenses; I've had few Chevy pickups that seems about 84 would be right.

^^ The tires switched in '63 for all of GM but the Corvette which changed to thin ww's in '62. ^^
I'm pretty sure the bulbs/lenses went amber in '63 also but I'm going from memory.

I suspect, Becky, that you wore "one" around your neck at some point...
CAMEO...which would be the perfect name for a "Camaro El Camino"... |

In 1971 the Chevelle had a nameplate that was a oxymoron what was it and why didn't it make sense?

Fiberglass panels were added to Chevy's existing steel cargo-box, saving the expense of the tooling process required for steel panels. This also allowed the truck to be brought into production quicker. Besides, fiberglass was convenient; Chevrolet had recently given Molded Fiberglass Products Company a $4 million dollar contract to manufacture Corvette bodies. All first-year Cameos were painted two-tone white and red. Inside, the upholstery was also two-tone, and came with arm rests, dual sun-visors, a cigarette lighter, chrome interior door knobs, and a large wrap-around rear window. Priced 30% higher than their standard half-ton truck, Chevrolet sold 5,220 Cameos in 1955. You were both fast on that one... |

I'll take a stab at the '71 'Bu question...HEAVY CHEVY, because the 2-dr it was built from was the shortest, lightest Malibu, that year...
