1970 Olds Cutlass, 350 rocket motor,2bbl and she had a fast soul.
No one could beat her,69 SS chevelle lost,70 SS chevelle lost, 79 Z28 lost and the list goes on. Lost her the night before the engine and trans were to be changed. Drunk driver spun off the road, 100feet off the road and pulled the body off the frame and total the frame beyond repair.

Miss that ride!

Camaro forever!

Not my actual car, but looked like this one.

A man after my own heart. I currently own 69 Hurst/Olds #43. But they all looked like this.

I grew up in the "gas embargo" years and we were left buying people's gas hogs. I had a 64 Chevelle SS I got for $350, then sold that to buy a 69 442 4-speed I bought for $500. The school parking lot was full of late 60s, early 70s iron like 69 road runners, 67 Chevelle SS's, one bad ass 70 Chevelle SS 454 (ugly dark green but that thing was FAST!). The exits of the parking lot were always black with burnout rubber! Kids today would crap their pants if they saw all that iron at their school today. (and a lot of interiors back then smelled like some sort of medicinal herb). Looked more like a car show than a parking lot.

I drove a 1976 Chevy Luv pick up. White roll/light bar with white spoker wheels. It would top out at an astonishing 80 mph!

I turned 16 in 1982. I got my Aunt & Uncle's '68 Chevelle Malibu. Gramps paid $500 for it, had the brakes done on it and then I was on my own with any maintenance or upgrades. I drove it through college.
First pic is in its original form, parked in front of my Aunt & Uncle's house in the early 70's. They had it repainted shortly after that to a color that resembles Nehi Blue Creme Soda. It was nicknamed "The Blue Bomb" by my high school classmates.
Second pic is what it looked like a couple of months ago when we started stripping it to have it restored.
Third pic is when Steve took it to the body shop in late September of this year.
I haven't chosen the final color, but it'll be a more modern version of the original Grotto Blue.

'73 Lincoln Continental that I bought off my buddies dad was my first car. Thing was a beast. I remember watching the gas gauge go down whenever I stepped on it. The thing could coast forever on the highway.

Thing lasted about 6 months before it fell apart, but it had already lived a long and useful life at that point.
