My thoughts exactly. Maybe a little less posts during the day, cause we are out driving but more at night telling stories about just how little the Mustang got in the rearview mirror

Anyone thought of any good personalized tags yet? Obvious one: 5thgen but I think mine will be "yes it is" in response to any question asked, i.e. is that a new camaro... man that is awesome.... that is sweet..... got alot of time to think about it. Oh yeah does anyone know the average time from prototype to production for other cars? Just wondering if maybe an earlier release is possible.

Based on the driving characteristics of the Holden Commodore, the Camaro will be well worth the wait. What gets lost in the discussion of the Camaro vs Mustang, introduction date, the feature that is most important to an individual are the mechanicals. The new Camaro will be a superior automobile to any Camaro ever built by GM and light-years superior to any six cylinder wannabe brand-x. GM got this car right. The mechanicals are right. It has an incredible heritage. It has a dedicated following. All of this is in place before people get to drive the new Camaro. Once they drive it...

I hope there is a 4 point restraint seat option for all horses.

You know what amazes me is that the ONLY "spy pic" we've seen so far had to be released by GM itself! Where is Brenda Priddy and Chris Doane and all? Don't they need a trip to Austrailia?

What irks me is it's not a "spy-pic"! I have no clue why everybody (not pickin on you, Camaro10) keeps calling it that.

Because we're so used to any picture of a pre-production vehicle wrapped in camo and photographed at .00001 mega pixels (it keeps getting smaller) being a spy pic, so that is what we instinctively call it.

I'm not sure I like what they've done to the rear quarter of the vehicle...
It's not completely visible, but I'll try and show the comparison. There is a sharp line on the concept that carries the rear upward, the production body appears to slope downward... it could just be the camera angle, but it worries me. The 'hindquarters' of a car is where a lot of the instinctual references to power and speed come from (horses, predatorial cats) and I really hope they don't lose that in the 5th gen :( It was one of my favorite components. |

First. realize that the comparison picture you linked is not the car, but a computer generation. Then realize that Ed is covering the curved, sharp line that joins the rear-quarters to the door.
Then...don't worry. It's a crappy picture (pixel-wise), and an on-the-spot camera angle. |

Also, that camo does do a really good job screwing with our perceptions of the lines.
