o_O

Easter was interesting. Everyone asked where my car was, turned into a conversation as to whether or not I wanted to borrow/use my aunts unused 1995 BMW 325i 5spd Coupe.

Think she was serious because that thing hasn't been driven in probably 1-2 years since they moved it to the barn to make room for the Volvo and the new Chrysler T&C. I personally haven't seen it on the road in over 6-7 years though. Odd..

I say use it, E36's aren't bad cars if it's not in really bad condition. Since I started waxing, it started to rain!! Oh well, garage FTW for now.

You're already back in Columbus? I go back on Monday mornings, wake up at 7 30 (unheard of for me), drink 2-3 red bulls, try not to fall asleep on 71 and get to Columbus around 9 30ish. But that's just me, I don't like my dorm bed so I get as much sleep in my original one as I can.

Since it didn't rain today I washed Sally, and am now off to give her a well deserved coat of wax!! Pretty much the only productive thing I've done today. I'll post up pics when I'm done, and will keep checking back on my phone while taking breaks.
Yup. I did a Monday morning drive-back once and it suuuuuuuuucked. Never again.

Didn't get a chance to wash the cars today. Envoy is super filthy.

Where do you live up here?

It's only got 80K miles on it and no damage. She's just been saving it for when the kid moves out. However I have no idea what has and hasn't been done as far as upkeep and if it's drivable as is (or if it needs fluids changed, bearings, tires) since I've learned what sitting can do to a car with the T/A.

But I'm kinda hesitant to up and ask her about it though, don't want to sound needy or the like.

It was one of those "Not sure if serious, but sounded serious.. was she? Don't want to really press it.. however.."

Might ask her anyway and do her a favor and get it checked out for them/back in roadworthy condition with some basic work if they really want to lend it. Was weird since I've never heard her talk about it until today.

I live in Morrill for now, but next year me and my buddy are staying at the Commons on Kinnear in a 2x2. Sounds like the E36 will definetely need a full fluid flush, not just engine oil. Other than that, you might need new tires. I say ask, offer to get it in roadworthy condition if it won't cost too much and go for it. For a couple hundred $'s you could get it on the road again. If it needs more than tires (and those I'd get used), I say turn it down becAUSE IT WON'T BE WORTH IT.

I've done all this with the T/A (minus tires since they were still good) and it cost me a cool 1000-1200 bucks (Tans, diff oil, brakes). Not something I can do while paying out of pocket to fix the T/A with a bill of 7800 bucks.

I can do an oil change no problem, however the transmission and rear differential.. being a BMW the oil may run 'rich' in the price department.

Next I get a chance I'll bring it up. Probably much ado about nothing but who knows.
