**Sigh** Can't I just buy abs in a bottle?????

Here is something some may find interesting. There is a Canadian TV show called Body Fuel. It is all about nutrition for supporting workouts. It has many recipies for very healthy meals and snacks, it explains all of the ingredients and their purpose. Some of the recipies are on the web site as well as when the show is aired. For the ladies, one of the hosts is a fitness model competitor, Lyzabeth Lopez, she has many of her training techniques on you tube, you may find some of them useful.
Here is a link to the show

Clen that you can buy on-line is not the original Clenbuterol that has become popular. It cannot be purchased legally without perscription. I touched on the subject of Ephedrine here before. Both are used as a bronchaid and their fat burning capabilities are because they are a thermogenic drug as well as a stimulant. They are available by perscription for use as a bronchaid but are a banned substance in the sports world.

I often wondered if I was wasting my time doing ab workouts, because i have always heard the same thing about the diet and the abs just being hidden under the fat, but alot of my ab workouts like wipers, hyper extentions and ball crunches are great for flexebility, and to strengthen the core, so i really don't feel that there useless, I just won't do quite as many of them......well I was doing 40 ball crunches and thats probably not necessary, more like 15 would be better.

They are not useless. Core strength is very important, in fact quite a few exercises cannot be performed correctly without adequite core strength. As mentioned you work the abs like every other muscle group. Using more weight will build larger muscles, if that's your goal. If you're looking for killer abs (not necessarilly muscular abs) CARDIO and DIET is what will work, once you strip the fat your abs will pop

Yeah I'm trying not to up my weight these days, I'm more into doing more reps with each workout, I'm thinking especially in the glute area i need to do more reps and less weight for a spaller toned look, where i have been trying to increase my weight I think that has been the wrong way to workout for the look I'm after. And ofcourse with 30 min. of cadio 5 days a week.

I mentioned in a post above about Body Fuel and one of the hosts Lyzabeth Lopez. If you look on you tube she has a workout called Hour Glass workout, it is for women who want to keep their curves and work their glutes legs and other body parts without getting bigger, maybe some usefull info there.

Lots of great posts today!!! I will be checking out that TV show and hour glass workout for sure!!

Don't worry...I won't be buying abs in a bottle! I am a firm believer in "hard work is the key to success!" I do a lot of core strengthening exercises throughout most of my workouts. I just don't really use weights when I am doing strictly abs. I am seeing good results...starting to get a more defined "V"...just gotta keep on keeping on and watch the ol' diet.

The best part of all of this working out is I am getting very strong! We did some competitions the other day and I was paired with an Army guy...let's just say he walked away a little embarrassed!!

The tv show is only about nutritious meals and snacks. Lopez's info is on you tube.I don't think she posts the whole workout but briefly goes through the routine. It is easy to pick up on the exercises though.

So, I know we all have days when we would rather not work out or eat right etc. We come up with all sorts of excuses...so I challenge us all when we start making excuses not to work out or eat right, think of this quote:

Quote of the Day: “Instead of giving myself reasons why I can’t, I give myself reasons why I can.” ~ Unknown
