Still need to find a good paint shop, and as LS said, best you can do is a clear the whole car. we don't expect the car to never have any blemishes, but just to try to minimize it. as it is right now, it looks like the front of the car was sand blasted, and also around the rear gills...

for sure, we want to get the zl1 side skirts, the replica rims. going to keep the mpd1 diffuser. might get the zl1 wing. we will lower it. also do some more engine mods, like the painted and ported throttle body, maybe the icolator...

Jewel will end up being a show car, but also have a little go, with the juice.

That's just simply not true Lol. You can tell by how aggressively you need to polish it. It stands up really strong against all domestic paint. You have to get into some high dollar German paints to see something stronger.

The problem with the Camaro paint is the design of the car. All debris is deflected to very specific areas.

I haven't seen our Terrain in months now but I'll be sure to check the paint condition when I fly out to my parents next week.

Well I guess if you put it that way its true. I have only polished one car and that is my Camaro. Only done it once and I by no means did a spectacular job. Still left some deeper ones and left some scratches in the harder to reach places. I plan to redo it over winter break and also plan to get the smaller pads to help with the tighter to reach places (I use adams products).

My bad, I don't know what mods jewel already has. Does she have the smooth rear diffuser? I know jewel is against this but the biggest bang for the buck in the aesthetics department is probably going to be lowering it. Side skirts would be great too!

I have to agree with this. I don't think camaro paint is terrible. I travel about 2 hours every 2 weeks and believe me, the car is tortured during those 2 hours. And the only thing that looks terrible on my car is the front bumper. I believe the gill area gets sandblasted because of the wheels the car has. With the 20s, it seems to get more debris versus the 18s that are tucked more in the wheel well. I've also heard terrible rock hits that merely cause a small scratch as opposed to picking up paint. Nothing a good polish can't remove most of the time

yeah, the smooth diffuser, painted it gloss black. We will lower it, once she's no longer a daily driver, and don't have to go up and down the steep parking garages downtown.

I really want to lower mine but I am just terrified of scraping everywhere. There are some steep streets downtown that I scrape at stock height now.
