Boy, I am so glad I have today off....seriously need it to recoup from my super busy weekend!! In addition to the car show, I also ran a half marathon (13.1 miles) down in Baton Rouge yesterday!! It was a great day for running and the course was beautiful!! Best of all....I made a personal record!!!

Well now that the NFL season is over for me, I've changed my avatar. I love it, three of the most precious things in my life; my newly adopted puppy Lady Bug, in my Camaro on her way home from doggy spa, with my LV bag on the floor!

Welcome to the new chick! Glad to have you

My fingernail finally came off. I wish I knew how long it will take to grow back. It's about 1/3 grown now, the new nail grew under the old one. It looks so awful. I hope I have a nail by the time I cruise to the Caribbean at the end of February :(

Sorry about your nail BowtieBell, I have no idea how long it will take to grow back, but I hope it is fast! I had to work too & worked hard, but I am not complaining. I will be off Friday through next Friday & heading to Gatlinburg, TN for a Smokey mountain R & R. I will have limited access to the net so hold down the fort here 'till I am home. Just 3 more work days & I am chillin".

ADORABLE!!! Dogs are definitely on my top 3 things in life!! I couldnt imagine life without them!! I currently have a chocolate lab named Yogi, named after my favorite baseball player, Yogi Berra of the New York Yankees!!

Have you tried the UV Gel Nail Polish??? That is what I get and I really like it. It is a gel polish which keeps YOUR nails strong so they don't break and the polish lasts for a good 2 weeks or so before it chips!! Even with all the work I do on my car it holds up well! My nails are LONG and STRONG and SEXY!! I highly recommend it!!

On a side note...proper nutrition really helps your skin, nails and hair!!! I take a multi vitamin and fish oil pills and I swear they keep my nails, hair and skin in tip top shape!!

I am pretty sure most nail spas have them now. Basically, it is like three or four layers. They put each layer on and then you put your hand under this UV light which hardens the layer. So it ends up strengthening your nails and it is completely natural. The only downfall is you can't easily change polish colors, but they have several colors to choose from. I have to go with something pretty tame because of my job.

Here's a pic of my nails...no fake nails here, just UV nail polish!
