Richardson isn't even the best running back among the finalists much less the best player. RGIII deserves it hands down.

I'm not saying Richardson isn't good, he's great. Ball had one helluva season though.

Congrats to RG3...tonight Copperas Cove, Tx (pop.29,000) is simply electric. The auto graphed RG3 Baylor jersey in Pizza Hut just got a lot more valuable, LOL!

...and I'm torn by A&M hiring Kevin Sumlin. Being a Bob Stoops protege is a plus (also worked under R.C. Slocum) but coming from UH and running a spread offense in the SEC...not so confident in that. Let's see if DeRuyter stays on as the DC.

I am sorry Dirty D, but I see 2012 being more disappointing than 2011 for Ag land. Ags had a Coach who had the team scoring an average of 31 points per game.....why not just force Sherman to go out and hire an up and coming SEC defensive coordinator? Give Sherman ONE year in the SEC, then go out and hire a SEC coach if things did not work. Ags recruiting has been hurt with this move and now with a new Coach and staff also! Ag land always seems to think the answers are in past Aggie staff.......time to think outside of the box Ags if you want to get to the next level!

You cannot honestly say that was a real football game with no TDs...So I see your and raise you another ! Its like watching a soccer game go 0-0 and having a shoot out at the end to see who wins. Luck of the draw...give me a championship team thats earns it because neither offense did much in that entire game it was a total defense game period. All the more reason for playoffs! Enough said.

Sorry, you feel that way but the 4 best teams in the FCS are playing in the semi-finals this coming Friday/Saturday and are one game from the Championship. Which is the way it should be in all college football no matter what division. And there are teams I would take in the FCS over an FBS team any day of the week. Hence, I would bet if OU played Georgia Southern this year...OU would lose period. But on a different note we don't use style points and computer generated statistics to prove who is the best in the nation we just leave that up to the BCS and the money bowls! Football is still football in the FCS!

MORE disappointing......not possible after this season...

...no hype this coming year, new head coach, maybe a new staff, not near as many returning starters, new to the SEC West.

With what I've been reading the last few days recruiting is as good as it ever was. I still believe that being the only Texas school in the SEC will be a bonus but we'll have to wait until next years class to see how recruiting plays out.

As far as the AD always looking at fromer Aggies for coaches yeah, that is true, but at least Coach Sumlin was also the OC for Bob Stoops at OU for a few years. He can recruit Texas, has for years, so we will see what he can do I guess. I was hoping they could pull Gary Patterson from TCU or Kirby Smart, the Alabama DC.

With all the changes so far, and the ones probably still coming (Assisstant coaches), I'll be impressed if the Aggies finish 5th in the SEC West next year.

Same reasons the NCAA and Jerry Sandusky/Syracuse happened. The NCAA lets schools get away with all sorts of s**t, and only brings the hammer down when they feel like it.

It's pathetic. Just came back from Campus (younger brother just graduated Ohio State) and the school and sports programs are two different entities. Almost segregated. The money that the school generates could have put on a good shindig for the fall grads. Instead they got something that was on par to what MY college (WMU) put on with a full student body of 36K to Ohio State's 64K plus.

It's fallen a long way since the 1940s and '50s when college sports actually had a back bone.

Chill out lol there not going to coach or perform any type of on the field coaching techniques that will help the team during that game.

recruiting reasons only.

I highly doubt urban myer can coach anything with this offense lol

It's not unheard of for schools going through coaching changes to apply to the NCAA to allow the new staff to handle recruiting duties while the outgoing staff handles coaching duties during the bowl game. The issue with OSU is the circumstances surrounding their coaching changes. They fired a coach for lying to the NCAA and allowing ineligible players to play after accepting benefits. The NCAA should've denied their request if they had any balls. Unfortunately OSU is in bed with them so that'll never happen. It's been widely rumored that the sanctions being handed down to OSU for all their wrongdoings will be nothing more than a slap in the wrist, and Urban Meyer is aware of it, and had no problem accepting the job there because of it. The NCAA is a joke.
