I'd rather paint them body color. Gives it a more clean look. You don't even need LEDs, you can just leave a thin strip for light to shine through. It's what I did with mine and I love it.

Yea I'm still debating it honestly. It's something I have wanted to do for a while since they are an eye sore. Just like I have been debating taking off the CAMARO letters and leaving just the autobot on the fender.

Edit: this is what I am contemplating
