Looks like everyone but me is making real good progress. On the flip side my heart monitor is off as of this morning and it's time to go crazy and get back to where I was 2 months ago. Gonna hit the gym in a few and see how bad this crap set me back. I set my goal to be back where I was in 6 weeks, should be no problem.

I don't know if any of ya'll have had this happen before but I got sick to my stomach half way through my 3rd. circuit, for breakfast I ate special K with protien cereal and fat free milk........I usually eat egg whites and oatmeal but I decided to have a change this morning......I don't know if it was the milk that made me feel so sick but I'm thinking it was........is this something that is normal? Should I not have any milk before my workout? Just curious.....I think I'm just gonna stick with my egg whites and oatmeal from now on. But I still pushed throught it with a few more breaks!

There are instances where nausea and weight lifting fall hand in hand, other than the typical causes from overhaeating, dehydration, eating or drinking to close to your workout etc. there sometimes can be nausea associated with very heavy lifting on exercises like squats and deadlifts. This is due to vaslavag breathing and changes in blood pressure although the lifting you described doesn't fall into this area. Consuming milk too close to your workout could contribute to nausea in some depending on their tolerence level. I myself, always feel nausea when doing hyperextensions, this is one of the things I am being tested for since my blackout, this was also thought to be blood pressure related but that has not been verified even with the extensive testing that has been done. It could have just been a freak thing but I would cut the milk before working out if that is suspect where as it has no particular benefit and it's not worth having a bad workout because of it.

Bonnie, that circuit training can be tough. Do you were a heart rate monitor when you workout? I'd be curious what your BPM are after those circuits.

Personally, if my heart rate gets real high (like over 190 BPM) I get nauseous. However, that happens to me regardless of what I eat.

You're tougher than me....once I throw up I'm done working out haha.

Alright. It's isn't new that I've been craving something sweet. I figured I would just eat it, and then forget about it..
So, this is what I ate...it's actually a small one...chocolate mousse...but OMG! It was so yummy! Craving over....now I'm good for another couple of months!
I hope...

Yeah thanks, I'm not gonna drink any milk for breakfast and try to drink more water, I was thinking about it and I think my water intake through out the day could be better!

haha Thanks I doubt I'm tougher! But by the 3rd circuit I'm pretty fried so.......I might need to start paying closer attention and get a heart monitor....I'm thinking I need to drink more water too.....todays circuit went great though!

Exactly. It also keeps you from over doing it with sweets when they're available if you don't deprive yourself all the time.

Only two days and I feel great. I thought that after not working out at my normal pace for a couple of months would set me back a bit but with my first two days behind me I guess it's not so. My lifts are down a few punds but only a few, I expected to have to build up to previous levels but I'm just about there. Tomorrow will be leg day so I'll see where I stand with squats and deads that will be the test if I lost some overall strength. Even my HIIT is almost as intense as normal. Other than the weight gain (12 lbs) everything seems good. We'll see how it goes after the weeks out. It feels great to be back at it and the 12 lbs will be history in no time.

Thanks, at my age a little luck won't hurt, although the training might LOL.
