Ok, first time trying to embed a YouTube.

This is my son with a guitair solo with the band he's in. Was shot the second time they had done the song on stage.. his stuff is a couple of minutes or so into the vid, and again later after the 3.5 mark.

The kids quite good. You must be a very proud Momma. A couple of years ago, a magazine (I can't remember which one) did a readers poll for the best rock guitar solo. Pink Floyd, Comfortably Numb was voted #1.

He taught himself how to play, and I think does other songs better than that one. He kept at it, so I kept giving him guitars for Christmas/Birthdays. There's another vid that he does lead vocal, but the audio isnt good.

Two questions. #1. How many guitars have you given him? #2. Did you let him practice in the house and if so, with an amp?

#1. I've given him three electric, and one accustic. First was a BC Rich Warlock with graphics, lost count of the names after that (they also got more expensive after that ). He also traded some games he was tired of for a broken guitar and fixed/painted the body and put new pickups in it.

#2. Sometimes he did tabs without the amp, and other times he'd plug in (usually when he had a finger combination worked out). So yes, he could play in the house with the amp, and I never had to ask him to turn it down because it was too loud.

BTW... how ya feelin' hon?

Not bad. Just my annual, run of the mill cold. Happens the same time every year so I know how to handle it. I just keep my mind ocupied, and I almost forget all about it.

How are you this evening?
