The Texas fans are in a hole now that Bama, UCLA, and OU have beat them down ...However if they beat Nebraska they will come back out of thier shell.

The Florida fans are still in shock.... Tebow is gone.

and USC has Lane Kiffin... nuff said

Texas fans show up to every game. Every home game at Darrell K. Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium is sold out, regardless of who's playing or what Texas' record is. Down here, if you've got tickets to a Texas game, you go. There's no hesitation.

And the tailgating here is epic.

I cant speak for every Fan out there however im not in a shell what so ever.

I knew this was a rebuilding year I said it from the get go its just hard for some people to accept that we are rebuilding so much compared to what we normally do.
That's what happens when you change your offense to one that you dont have personel to run just yet. We have more young players on a Team than we ever have with no Big name offensive weapon to be the leader from what we have had in years past.

I'm not worried we will be back.

As for a Beat down I wouldnt call Saturday a beat down from either Team.
OU played better as in they ran there hurry up offense for 2 drives which made the difference after that it was 2 teams with No clue on who they are as of yet play the rest of the game. Both teams shot themself in the foot over and over again one just was able to play enough to hold on to a Win and gain a last minute TD.

OU is last years UT coming out of that Game they have 2 important weapons that helped them win other than that they are young also.

Prop on the win to them.

As for last years NC ( The PAST ) I wouldnt call that a beat down either however I'm not going back in the past.

People can say what they want right now the SEC is rebuilding to an extent.

Florida is trying to find a New Qb better yet let him learn on how to lead the team...remember tebow didnt just get thrown in as he shared time with leak.

Tenn lol well they are rebuilding again with a NEW coach again.

LSU who knows whats wrong with LSU they are playing good off and on.

Yall have what we and OU normally have you reloaded for who left and you are doing what we did last year you have good players and you are taking advantage of the other teams in the SEC who are rebuilding

Enjoy the rest of your season ! imo you will be playing Ohio State in the final game lets see your RB's and TEXAS Qb who has never lost Graduate and see how good your team will be on the field and how many of you Bama Fans will be in here throwing your NC Banners around in your sigs

you may be here but you wont be bragging as much as you are now because the Florida's and UT's and OU's will regroup and rebuild.

IF we beat Nebraska that doesnt mean anything its 1 game yes a big game but that doesnt mean JACK we know we gotta finish out and finish strong one thing TEXAS doesnt do is QUIT we fight to the end and pass the baton to the next group and hope they can continue.

BESIDES Nebraska wont the next or last Team to Show up and play the hardest against us we still have 1 other team who shows up for one Game a year and they play like its a National championship just because its UT.

Good Luck on repeating and here is to another TEXAS recruit leading another Team to play in a NC

... I was just stirring the pot to get the college football fans back in the thread... looks like it worked

We are not any more cocky than any other fans after a national championship season.

Michigan and Texas will have thier turn again in due time.

Bama has been down. Coaching, recruting, NCAA sanctions are all part of it. BUT and a BIG BUT is that all that is behind us now. We finally have a coaching staff that prepare very well, recruits that LISTEN and Learn extremely well.

Look at some of these points. What type of recruit was Mark Ingram 3 star maybe, besides Julio and Trent and a few other 5 stars most were not Automatic All Americans. Speaking of Greg McElroy,he is not the most talented, fastest, or have the strongest arm BUT he wins and does not lose games for you.

Nick Saban has this thing figured out. You look back through college football history and you see who wins. Teams with good running backs, and good defenses. Saban has always had a defense even at LSU and tough Running backs. He does not put all his eggs in one basket and lay the game on the QB's shoulders.

Look at Texas, their QB gets hurt and they suffer, why becuase they couldn't run the ball. Look at Arkansas, Mallett throws a couple of pick and they lose, why? , they can't run the ball.

Go back a few years to when Texas won, why, they ran the ball. Look at Oklahoma when they played Florida. Ok passed, Florida ran, Florida wins.

The ultimate point I have about this is look at Texas Tech, they throw probably better than any team in the country but they do not always win, why , they need to be able to run the ball.

Look at teams like Oregon, runs the ball, Ohio State, runs the ball, Alabama Runs the ball. Seems to be a trend doesn't it. Just saying....

Very true. Being able to run the ball opens up your playbook to a whole new level. To be able to run the ball you need a solid north-south work horse and an offensive line that can push people around.

Texas has always had a pretty solid offensive line, but apparently this year they wanted to basically change their offensive scheme to get ready for the 5-star running back recruit we have coming in next year (Malcolm Brown). I think Mack saw how our offense was starting to get one-dimensional two years ago and this year just ends up being the down year where we're basically re-working our offense to get ready to make another big push at serious title contention. I think he was hoping one of the three backs we have now would be able to emerge from the pack and really take over the role, but that has obviously not happened. Hopefully this year Garrett Gilbert can build some serious confidence as a QB, our young offensive line can get the experience they need, and the addition of Brown next year will make for an explosive offense next year.

It truly is a re-building year for Texas, but don't think our program is on the downhill slide
