The embargo ends in a few hours, so I suppose we'll know all then.

i know of a couple where the shortblock was opened up (higher CR pistons) that made over 400rwhp still retaining the stock displacement (4.6L) with heads/cams etc. one of them was 411rwhp. who knows how streetable they were though (i know the BBR one was on an unsafe tune, and race gas, so it barely counts) |

Well they threw in more than just one cam..lol, I am not saying the 5.0 is taped out, but you can not get significantly more power out of an DOHC engine and keep it N.A. without some serious $$$ thus force induction makes more sense. For an Example for just $3500 in parts (Headers, exhaust, CAI, underdrive pulleys, $600 cam, and tuned.) you can get the camaro to go from 426hp at the flywheel to 480+hp AT THE WHEELS. without Force induction and for only around $3500!!! that is incredible value. That type of power increase for an DOHC V8 engine is not possible for so little money. Thus adding a blower makes more sense for DOHC V8's, but with a presumably 11.0 comprestion, I bet the coyote will not be as blower friendly as the 4.6 mod. Not saying it is not possible, just not as friendly as the 4.6 was. We shall see.

Yeah and they have support mods to back it up. You don't just straight up put nitrous on a vehicle without anything to back it up. Point is, that will end up costing more than a $400-$600.

He makes a valid point. Hard to get those kind of gains from a DOHC motor at that price without some kind of forced induction. |

Pricing and budget arguements are just silly. There will always be someone with deeper pockets so basing mods on amount spent is useless. I could spend $80K on a GTR and run 11's stock or I could get an old Fox body and spend the equivalent and run 7's. Value in a purchase is clearly calculated by the person spending the money. In the end the only thing that counts is who wins the race. Just because someone spent less doesn't make them a bigger winner. Also until the 5.0 engine specs are released no one knows the compression ratio so assuming it's high is just an assumption. |

Wow bro i know like 7 people off the top of my head that run nitrous on nothing but a stock engine with 100shot and ZERO problems... IN REAL LIFE. not sure where u are reading that nitrous if the devil and a motor eater... Yes people put straight up nitrous on a vehicle... not saying to run a 200 shot but 75-100 shot on our motors is nothing... this is coming from real life and peoples setups on forums it's very simple and real.
