Exactly. I will likely mod the non-R and drive it regularly while the R will stay in the garage other than an occasional cruise-in or dedicated track day.

The z28R is in first place in the season standings. That's where the z28R is at.

Yep. And considering they have been on the podium for every race of the season, that should not be a surprise. The Shelby, on the other hand, has only competed in two races YTD and one of them was a horrendously wet affair. Taking 1st place in only your second race ever, in the vehicles second race ever, with a 16 year old driver no less, is quite an accomplishment.

I'm interested to see how the VIR race ends in a few weeks!

Then at some point rule changes apply, it's just how it goes. Restrict/unrestrict some air flow, along with adding/taking away weight, etc. I think this GT-350 is the best Mustang, that Ford has ever made!

I think the 350R-C runs the same restrictor as the current Boss cars. Considering how dominant they were over the Z/28 ' s I expect more by the end of the season

Latest rumor has the non-R GT350 with full tank of fuel coming in at just under 3600lbs. If true, that would put the R model in the 3500 or a little under range.

I saw that too. Apparently it's a track pack non-R with a shipping weight of 3,512.

That would actually put a 350R in the mid 3,400's
