Another thread to talk specifically about rules and regulations on both a federal and state level - What do I have to do to follow the law kinds of discussions, How is the law going to change, What do I need to do to not get in big trouble, Who to recommend for concealed carry permits, etc.

Obviously, the political stuff will still be moderated, no need for bashing one party or another (or specific people, to an extent ). But I think general talk about how much of a pain in the rear a new law is going to be for gun owners is outside of the political discussion realm. Discussion on how to appropriately contact your representative to voice your opinions (whatever they may be) isn't really political discussion either. It's more of an informational discussion. How not to sound like a loon is always helpful discussion.

Where other forums have failed in keeping it civil, I think we can easily succeed, and even thrive. Obviously, the majority of that is due to the moderators being class acts. But I think as long as the members can self-police themselves respectfully, which they have to this point, I don't see why it can't be done without anyone getting butt-hurt
Personally I would like a firearms sub-forum, not just a single thread. This way we can have different threads on different handguns, rifles, calibers, reloading, what guns are better to conceal carry, etc without a post getting lost especially seeing as how fast a single thread moves. Also this way if we have threads about Obama's new Executive Orders or any new bills introduced in Congress that just so happen to get out of hand, the mods can just close those specific threads down instead of putting everything to a halt.

We already have a gaming sub-forum and a sports sub-forum so why not a firearms sub-forum.

I agree it would keep us from going off track and others from butting in when we are speaking technical stuff

May I remind everyone that this is a Camaro forum ,and that I love guns and Camaros.

This has been a public service announcement from Motorhead. Back to your regularly scheduled program.
