Conversely, the OP made his decision, no need to keep bashing and bashing...there's a limit to 'criticism'.
how else does one describe someone who doesnt acknowledge that other cars even exist or do well at whatever it is they were designed to do? and outrightly deny REAL FACTS about said cars.

GM's 6L90E is a much stronger trans than anything Toyota makes.

And how about comparing the IS-F to a car in its price range?? CTS-V, perhaps?? The Camaro is less than HALF of what the IS-F costs.

Can you read? The OP got his car for 40k.... now im sure there are people on this Forum who ordered their Camaro for close to that number.

Get a grip.

Now there's a masterpiece of a vehicle. A car built so cheaply that the shifter feels like its going to break off in your hands.

Honda builds cheap vehicles and charges a premium for them. Honda cuts corners in many places people don't see. Brakes, wheels/tires, chassis, and engine. People are happy if their Honda runs...and usually they will keep going if you keep putting timing belts on them at the interval. But that doesn't make them quality built vehicles in the least.

Any company that still uses mechanical valvetrains in 2009 should be laughed off the market. Yet people rag on GM for using pushrods?? How ironic.

And the car was $65K brand new.

You can't compare used to new.

again you totally ignored the statement...

why are there millions of civics out there lasting to over 250,000 miles without more than regular maintenance?
^^^ directly answer that question without going on a wild tangent about your personal views on what was cheaply made and what was not. why arent they falling apart all over the road?

And that proves that you are nothing more than a blind follower.

If it runs, its good enough right?? Why engineer something to be better when people will settle for the bare minimum and pay a premium price for it.

Watch this guy, you'll post something that is obvious factual information, and somehow hes got some opinion or personal testimonial ( in disguise) that allows him to dance around his blaring defeat.

If its anything like your "factual imformation", I'm sure it will be absolutely worthless and biased.

I had an Accord with a lil over 100k miles on it. It was my grandmother's and she had it serviced to a T by the dealer. It quickly became nothing but trouble. Even the transmission ahd to be rebuilt. I got sick of paying for repairs every other month so I ditched it in favor of my current ride and am extremely glad I did.
