Oh wow Dan didn't realize you were up in Pollock Pines, I would love to go BUT my clutch is letting go, its starting to see the light. And because I'm an idiot I ran out and bought a ZEX kit and Cam package before axles and a clutch. Can you say priorities..lol

After going to sac last time, (Track in which I grew up racing MX) I told myself I wouldnt go back.. There were a TON of ghetto people. At one point you have a 4th Gen Camaro club showing up to fight with an import Club cause they had some unsettled beef in the south sacramento area. These dudes were some gun toating mofos to say the least.

Will you make the drive to Infineon? I can bring an easy up and chairs, and we can also bring some food and make a day out of it if we can get there by 4. I know I can get about 5-10 of us Camaro5 guys to go also...

Let me know.

Jason
That sucks to hear about the gang war the last time you were at Sac. I've never seen anything scary like that happen there before, not even an argument.

Your next round of mod's sounds awfully exciting and I'd like to see it run especially if we can line then up together. I'm making 585/555 with a curb weight of 3,660 with 3.73's and 26" Hoosier DR's but I've been having problems with my tune on the top end ever since I first modded it so Ive yet to improve my stock mph. My mods are pulley, TB, and O/R H pipe and I want to get the lowest possible ET before I do any other mods because mine should be capable of high 10's.

Sear's Point is a little to far for the condition of my front bias skinny's. Once I get my radial's I will be able to make the trip but let me know the next time you and your gang are going. I'd also love to throw a 75-100 ZEX kit on mine but im in the middle of re-plumbing the hydro steer, cooling, and tranny lines in my LS1 powered Rockcrawler which currently is taking priority. Ive been out there the past 2 day wire wheeling all the new tube work in prep for POR15's Hardnose paint.

Will they let allow 11.50 and under racers to run without a roll bar on the day's you go?

isn't the ls1 just a few pounds heavier than the stock rotary?

You might be right. The Camaro picked up a win today in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge and appears to have found it's groove. Mustang second and M3 third. Three races left in the series and GM still has a chance, they're in third overall (Ford first, BMW second) but not that far back. Laguna Seca is next July 8-9. Some great racing and a tight race for top 3!!!

Not really...

13B-REW weighs 180-200
LS1 weighs 370-450 (the LS1 comes in 2 flavors so add 80lbs for an iron block ver)

These weights are "core" weights. Which means no accessories, manifolds, turbos etc... just complete engines with internals.

Plus you aren't able to keep the LS1 mounted as far back as the Rotary which makes the car nose heavy and ruins the handling..

then lets give the BOSS a tune and intake..... and a better road race suspension from the BOSS302R.

that puts the LS3 behind in HP still and the BOSS 302R is dominating the GS-r camaro.

your argument had no basis.
