Ok, my wife and I are new and want to go but we are a little confused on what to buy, we want the car in the show and I would like to take it down the drag strip if possible. We would not be running it at the road course. So what is the difference between 2 Day Spectator Wristband + Show & Shine Entry - $30 ( Limited to 1st 200 ) and a 2 Day Driver + Show & Shine Entry - $110 and the 2 Day Spectator Wristband for Beech Bend - $25 (12 and under free). Our Camaro isn’t going to win best of show, but is a nice car and we want it in the show. What plan do we need? I also need to know if I need anything special to run the convertible down the drag strip. I appreciate any information we can get.

In your case, you'll need one $110 driver's pass, and one $25 spectator pass. The $110 ticket will give you an additional credential that lets car show officials know you may be in and out of the area for the purposes of racing. But keep in mind, the car *must* be in the show during the time of judging to be considered...which will likely be Saturday morning. All of Friday and very early Saturday, though, you should be good to race. Saturday PM will be competitive runs. As far as racing the convertible down the drag strip...all NHRA rules will be followed. Mlee is better versed on those than I am, I'll direct him to your post to reply. |

Thank you very much for the response we are going, I would like to confirm that I can take the convertible down the drag strip before spending the $110.0 but I don't want to loose a spot in the show. Hopefully we can book soon.

They are allowed to do both but aren't eligible for awards was my impression from an earlier post. I could be mistaken though.

You can bring the vert down the strip, only suggestion would to bring a snell approved helmet. I did a couple passes last fest with mine and it was a blast.
