Android Auto Update Now Available - Page 9

Been waiting for the update to be available. Now just need to get my car to the dealership.

Had mine in yesterday. Apparently, I was the first to have this update at this particular dealer. Took 1.5 hours and ended up with a wiped out system. I had to leave before they could fix it as I had another appointment. I have to take back on Monday...ugh.

I noticed today, that instead of it loading and displaying MyLink, it says Cadillac Cue. Appears the service guy loaded the wrong AA update.

Oh man that sucks! Yeah it looks like the wrong FW was loaded! WTF? This is why I would rather do it myself, I have only been an IT computer techinican for 20 years! At least I would have enough common sense and the background to load the right FW. Hopefully they didn't "brick" it, otherwise another screen/headunit will be needed!

Don't think so, have not seen a compatible app for gas prices for AA.

It's easy in california. They're all high and it doesn't matter where you go because it's all the same gas.

Costco always has the cheapest gas that I found. If all you get is gas the membership pays for itself.

You better hope the don't have to replace the whole radio assembly. I wouldn't be surprised if they can't reflash the proper SW on top of that. What a bunch of idiots!

Exactly...typically once FW gets screwed up it will brick the unit, unless there is some type of fail safe to reboot it back to stock FW, screen/unit may have to be replaced...this is why I am waiting!

Got AA installed over the weekend! Pretty cool system, mostly nice for using Google Maps and music browsing. I did find out that if you touch and hold down the "Projection" icon (which becomes Android Auto with phone plugged in) that you can drag and drop the icon to the top row of the 5 shortcuts allowing AA to be accessed a little more quickly from other menus.

My dealer is much better...I am no big rush for it, have to bring my car in soon for a few things, get it all done at one time. By then I am sure my dealer will at least have it and be somewhat knowledgeable to install. Wish I could install it myself.

Cool...Google Maps is what I am really wanting it for, everything else at this point that is offers is not really needed for me.
