If that was true, "months ago", perhaps, by the time they got it in production, it was past its "Best Before" date?!

That is why I said this;...............

Also, more importantly (to me, but not most people) the Challenger fell short on the figure eight which gives an indication of its handling ability. I'm curious as to what laps times will be for the Hellcat, as no doubt the huge horse power advantage will mask some of its short comings in the handling department.
Yes and no on the dyno numbers. We're all obsessed with HP and TQ numbers. That's pretty much why the HC is starting all sorts of craziness. lol And that's why we advertise our HP and Tq numbers too.
As for the the HC on the lap times, I don't think they released a video of the HC bringing the heat on the lap? I'd like a link in case I didn't see it please to personally see how it did.

But the 10.80 NHRA certified Challenger Hellcat only ran an 11.70? That's what I'm surprised about. In the eight speed AUTOMATIC no less.

This is where the ZL1 is going to have a considerable margin over the HC unless the track has an ungodly long straight section...

Good luck with that...its their only saving grace. Meanwhile in the real world, ZL1s are getting their asses handed to them at the strip and street by GT500s and Challengers. But wgaf, just bust out the orange cones and prove to them who is king of the course

I'm sure it's closer to 95%. However having said that, I have never been on the drag strip with my ZL1 and have Autocrossed and Road Course raced it several times. So I'll talk as much track shit as I want.

That's called "hedging" your bet. Speaking of which:

Send me the 10 $20 bills, and when "enthusiasts" (perhaps you'd like to more clearly define this?) are regularly running "better times", I'll send you $400 back.

THAT'S a hedged bet, too.

It's pretty simple how it works, as soon as a fast list is established.. I'm saying the HC will go beyond manufacturer claimed times period, no special stipulations (you have nothing to worry about as "MT hot shoes" only ran a 11.7)... Unless you are willing to concede to that point right now... Then we can create a breakdown from there...

I'm willing to paypal a third party of your choice right now, with a confirmation that you've done the same in the form of a screenshot....

This is getting good.
I bet the HC surprises a lot of people as well. But,....I'm no betting man.

I'm signed up for Road America's next HPD in October.

It would be interesting to know what percentage have never drag raced at a strip either
