I'm going to run to my Chevrolet/Buick-GMC dealer at some point this week so I'll ask if they know anything. Doubt it though, seeing as how I've taught them a thing or two before.

I'm lurking on some forums and a guy who was invited to an engineering event for the midsize trucks said one of the engineers for the diesel program seemed fairly confident they could do at least 30 MPG.

I wonder where that was taken that the global Colorado would be next to those? That first pic makes the Colorado look narrow compared to the Canyon. That pewter color looks really good on the Colorado even though it would be my last choice. That's the test of a great looking body style that it looks great in any color, a test that the Camaro has always passed for me.
