I didnt make it under the squat rack yesterday either. Kind of bummed me out. Back injuries suck big time. I just did a light leg workout, but I still made them burn.

Dam you go to the gym early haha! Well good news when I woke up this morning I wasn't as sore as the day before and I decided to check myself out in the mirror....I must say I am starting to look good haha! Only 3.5 weeks left of Insanity then who knows what I'll do.

You suppose to go with month 2 again, then come here and take notes on what you routine is going to be depending on what you looking for...

What's the current thoughts on rest days? I see only one there, is that enough to let your body recover? I'm out of the loop on that.

My heart was having to work harder because of my weight. I was living in fear of having a heart attack, thats when I decided it was time for a change. So I got off my ass started eating right and so far Im down almost 40 lbs. Ive got a long way to go, but Im determined to do it.

My BMR is 2947
MY TDEE is 3766

My calorie intake is 2400/day

My workout schedule looks like this

Monday - Cardio/Chest/Tris/Cardio
Tuesday - Cardio/Legs/Cardio
Wednesday - Rest
Thursday - Cardio/Back/Bi's/Cardio
Friday - Cardio/Abs/Shoulders/Cardio

I switch it up every month, but thats what a normal weeks workout would consist of. This week is a little different since I tweaked my back at work, so Im taking a easy for a few days.

Cardio is usually walk/run on the treadmill, the stationary bike, elliptical, or the dreaded stair climber. I have a love/hate relationship with the stair climber. LOL!!

Ill get some different pics tonight after the gym, but this is the only one I have right now.
I would switch your Thur & Friday days. IMO you would get more rest and push more if you are doing deads on back days. (especially if you are doing Legs on Tues).

Shoulders do NOT need their own day, small muscle group.

IMO, this:

Monday: Chest/triceps
Tuesday: cardio
Wednesday: Back/biceps (do rear delts on back day)
Thursday:cardio
Friday:Chest/Shoulders (front & side delts on this day)
Saturday:legs
Sunday:rest

For me it is... since my workout doesn't go over 45 minutes... right now I have Sunday to rest but no cardio, only the high intensity in lifting with short rest... This is my current routine:

Monday:Chest
Tuesday:arms
Wednesday:Back
Thursday:shoulders
Friday:legs
Saturday:a little of everything...
Sunday:rest

For what I understand after reviewing my routine arms & Shoulders are working to much since when I do Chest (include triceps & Shoulders) and when I do back (include biceps & Shoulders)... legs can take a lot of work, this week I started running in the afternoon but I think mixing up the cardio in between help my muscle to rest more and recover... that makes sense?

My routine.

Mon - Legs
Tues - Chest/Tris
Wed - Rest
Thur - Back
Fri - Rest
Sat - Chest/Shoulders
Sun - Rest

Pretty standard routine. The lifts themselves depends on if I am 'working out' or 'training'. Right now I am training for a powerlifting event in April (weekend before camarofest). So my lifts are basic, very heavy, low rep. When I am 'working out', it is more for overall body, with more specific lifts to target different areas (not as heavy, more mid to high reps).

Yes, and my cardio is Walking from the Car to Gym, and from Gym to Car. And I park as close as I can.

The amount of rest time can vary from person to person, all depending on their workout intensity, and many other things.

Here is a link that will help explain http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/behar2.htm
