Good luck man.
Better to rest and recoperate than to fully injure yourself and create a longer/harder comeback. Sometimes you come back stronger.

Most people who are lactose find whey tolerable, because whey protein contains only about 5 to 6 percent lactose, it can be eaten by most people who have lactose intolerance simply because there isn’t enough lactose to trigger symptoms. However, if you are lactose intolerant, it can still cause problems. The Whey Protein Institute recommends that you use whey protein isolate products instead of concentrates. Whey isolate contains less than a tenth of a gram of lactose per tablespoon, whereas concentrate products can vary widely in the amount of lactose that they contain

I would say eat all your eggs whole. I don't know how extreme u get w ur diet but there is 55mg of sodium in each egg white. Along w the fat in a whole egg it isn't beneficial to chow down on ten whole eggs. I usually do 8 whites and raw milled oats w trivia every morning. Then a piece of toast w 1/2 tbsp peanut butter for essential fats. I keep those at about 45-50 grams a day

Thanks man.
Yeah, I did some research after reading these posts and read that there are traces of lactose in whey protein. I hate being lactose intolerant.

I really don't "diet". I eat, for the most part, off the food list found in the book Body for Life.

For my shakes I drink Muscle Milk. Yeah I know a lot of sugar, blah, blah, blah.... But it sure does taste good.

Costco sell 6 lbs bags of the isolate for 50 bucks. You can't beat it. I was drinking two of the ready to drink ones twice a day. Was wondering why I was putting on so much weight. I looked at the nutritional label and noticed it was LOADED with saturated fats. I believe it's 80% of your daily value in one serving. Stopped that real quick lol

I eat crazy amounts of cheese it seems lol! Must be rough. Do you take the pre tabs for lactose intake? I might still be searching for wheels you get rid of those yet?

pre/post workout high GI drinks are actually beneficial, the thing I don't like about Muscle Milk is all the added ingredients and the quality of the ingredients, the whey is not the best form of whey and much of the protein is not from whey, the ingredient list is huge, mostly useless and includes a good amount of saturated fat.

Pre workout I make my own, 2 scoops whey protein, 1 tsp dextrose and a handful of ice cubes. This provides an excellent fast digesting protein source. I drink half 15-20 min pre workout and sip the rest intra. My next meal is a high protein starchy carb meal. Other than these two meals all other meals are low GI.

As far as eggs go, the white is the protein, the yolk contains the fat and other nutrients, the thing is that from a nutritional stand point they are excellent. I always eat 5 whites and 1 whole egg. The breakdown is

160 cals
21 g protein
2.1 g carbs
1.5 g sat fat
3 g monounsaturated fat

This is a very good protein source with a almost negligible amount of carbs, a good amount of healthy fat and minimal sat fat. It is also an excellent choice in a fat loss diet compared to eating 6 whole eggs which would break down to

450 cals
21 g protein
3.6 g carbs
9 g sat fat
18 g monounsaturated fat

The minimal amount of lactose in a good quality whey protein isolate usually has no effect on those who are lactose intolerant, perhaps if you are real sensitive to lactose you may get a good fart out of it at best/worst depending how you look at it LOL.

One of the best readily available whey protein powders IMO would be ON Gold Standard. Many others have useless ingredients in them.

The whey protein that is considered "the best" is Glanbia's CFM. It's sold by a few other companies such as LEF which is top quality. Protein factory also sells it but there have been some red flags as to PF's processing, packaging and distribution of their whey products.

BCAA's are 3 of the9 essential amino acids, I'll probably get their names wrong but one is leucien, valine and I always forget the other one but they are important for protein synthesis.

Is there a certain brand you use? Link?

I started working out about 4 months ago, I have progressed very well in such a short time, not sure if some of its due to the fact I used to workout religiously years ago, back then I was in the best shape of my life..

Thanks!!

As long as you get 100% pure bcaa's they are all pretty much the same. Just as with other supplements you don't want anything with any other ingredients just 100% pure bcaa's. I get mine from Performance Nutrition or GNC as they are both close to me. I also avoid flavored ones. that way you can add them to other pre/post work out drinks if you choose to without odd flavoring. I recently made the mistake of grabbing one that was watermelon, what a dummy, doesn't go good with vanilla whey lol.

Something you may or may not know about creatine. Some products suggest a double dose when you start, it is not needed the effects are accumulative. Also new studies show that creatine is not easily absorbed, it is best to dissolve it in a warm drink first. It could be warm water. I personally add it to green tea. It is something that is not usually on the directions for use although some companies are starting to suggest it. Some claim they use special processes in it's production to make it more digestible but mixing it in a warm drink is proven to be best.
