It's funny because when I said I liked part if the car in one picture I got slammed for it now I say it looks terrible not only do I get slammed so does my car. And he thinks it's ok cause he says " no offense"
Eh, I still think the Camaro makes a great looking convertible.

I agree, I like everything about the car other than the busy interior dash and steering wheel, I also wasn't a fan of the SS's interior. I love the lines and if the rumors are true that the GT went on a diet to the tune of 200 lbs this car is going to be a 1/4 mile beast even with the standard 5.0 Coyote. I'll let the fanfare die down, and await some hard abuse to see if the IRS will hold up but there may be an automatic version in my future.

I suspect you will soon see a bunch of 10-14 Camaros, and 11-14 Mustangs up for sale.

At 1st glance the 1st thing that I noticed was the front lights and how much it resembles this:

I guess my two issues with the Mustang convertible in that picture are removing the top makes that bodystyle look out of proportion( the rear looks too long), and like the last Mustang they didn't let the opening of the passenger compartment flow with the body lines of the car, it's just a straight line from the windshield to the back of the roof opening. Whereas the Camaro convertible the opening for the top flows better and has the kick up at the rear quarter panel. I guess I described it right.
I do think the Fastback coupe looks better than the convertible, but I know a lot of people like the Camaro coupe better than the convertible too...

I love it. To be honest Camaro is going to have a hard time matching it.

Chevy might toss in extra HP (440?) but no way in hell they get close in weight.

The front lights remind me of a taurus, and I really like those. The tail lights are definitely different and stand out, I'm sure in the dark too. I never really liked mustangs much, but these aren't so bad! If drive it, I think...

When the gen6 is unveiled then compare it to this new mustang.
I have to disagree with both of you.

First off, the Camaro and Challenger do not look fat and dated....they are just slightly larger (looking) cars. Actually if you read the specs the new mustang is a tad bit wider and longer than the current Mustang, but it is a bit lower and the design makes it look slimmer.

In my opinion, Challenger and Camaro and still more bold in design than the 2015 Mustang. I think its hard to compare their looks now b/c the Mustang has gone global in design with European and Asian flair, while Camaro and especially challenger are more purely American muscle. That said, I don't think the 2015 Mustang is any better looking than the 14 Camaro or Challenger. The new Mustang is NOT bad looking. I don't hate it. Its just not really doing as much for me as I had thought it might.

We don't even know the weights of the Mustang yet. I heard one magazine was even making a claim that the GT gained weight, but I seriously doubt that. I think there is a good chance the Alpha Camaro could be closer in weight to the 2015 Mustang than the current Camaro is to the 2014 Mustang.

With all of the new emissions and mile per gallon quotas that have to be met, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a 4 cylinder in the new Camaro. What one chief engineer makes as a statement does not control what the company will tell him to do. 6.2L V-8s will soon be a thing of the past or they will drop lines of cars all together. Chevrolet won't stop making their bread and butter Silverados and Tahoes that are huge gas guzzlers, so something has to break and its most likely going to be sports cars that take the hit. If you're unfamiliar with the changes that will be made over the next ten years here's an article to catch you up.

Those are "projected" power figures, so the final could change just a hair and I'm betting they will, but not much. The V6 figures listed above are slightly LESS than the current car, and I can't imagine the power numbers actually dropping unless the car has a different tune or something.

I love my Camaro, but the blind spots are ridiculous. I added blind spot mirrors to my side mirrors and I rely on them every single day for lane changes.

That could also be a marketing move to fight cylinder count fixation and push sales towards the EcoBoost.
