Also, are you a believer in keeping your knees behind or as far as your front toes when going down?

Appreciate any tips, maybe I'll get on your level one day

As mentioned, knees never beyond toes. For the most part dead lifts target the same muscles as squats so they are not needed but you can use partial rep deads and loose the bottom part of the lift (start at knee level or slightly lower)

Google "reverse hyperextension"...if you have a gym that has one great. If not you will have to rig something up.

After your back is healed, work on strengthening your lower back. Incorporate good mornings in to your workout.

And your toes should never be past your toes....

I have seen some posts about Reverse Hyperextensions, and I don't think my gym has one, but I will try to figure something out.

Don't worry my toes never go past my toes

Last time I went to the gym? I had an open right distal clavicle excision 6 months ago for degenerative joint disorder in my AC joint and haven't been back since. I have bench press and genetics to thank for the surgery.

Finishing up my last 5 weeks of physical therapy and itching to get back in and finally lift again. In the mean time I've resorted to running and obstacle races (warrior dash, spartan sprint, tough mudder) to keep in reasonable shape.

Did arms and chest this morning along with a little cardio.

This evening did 4 miles on tread mill doing intervals. The 30 mins on stair master. Estimated 1147 calories. WHEW!

I finally caved and joined a gym - have lost 28 lbs since March. I'm very happy with my progress, and working on another 20 by the end of the year. My secret is I go to that gym and I keep doing stuff until I'm sweating.

5am this morning, gotta stay fit!

Did legs today, and about 5 miles worth of cardio. Had to burn off the beer I drank at the Chief's game yesterday lol
