Her company has the X-plan that lists everything sedan wise in Fords lineup, and Chevy too- except the '14 Impala. Go figure...

She's a happy girl so that's all that matters, and no more car shopping for me!

Test drove it though, and it was as great if not more so this time than the last. Chevy and their Impala hasn't heard the last from this family.
GM never does incentives on new product. They usually sell so well they're not required. Congrats on the Fusion though.

No problem. It's actually outlined in white so people can locate it easier. There's a whole host of little details in this car that make it a great package.

Much better decision than Impala.

Why is that?

The only reason there are no incentives on the Impala is it was JUST released. That is the biggest indicator of FAIL when a car or truck launches with incentives.

I am actually surprised the Fusion has incentives. A Fusion with everything but the kitchen sink will run you about $32,000 plus taxes. So to get on for $26k means Ford is also throwing the kitchen sink at it with incentives.

Car for car, I think the Impala is great choice. It's a bigger car than a Fusion and in a different class.

Now is you are saying Malibu vs. Fusion that's a different discussion.

Impala is nice and all but the gas mileage sucks. The new Fusions are simply awesome.

Considering that GM is acknowledging the Malibu is a POS by emergency redesigning it, there is no discussion for Fusion vs Malibu.

Malibu on wet road and in snow = sled - I have to agree with you on this one.

The gas mileage is exactly in line with the Ford Taurus which is it's direct competitor...how does that suck exactly?

How does the gas mileage in the new Impala suck? I test drove the 3.6L the other day and got 7.1L /100kms (33 US MPG) at 110kph (65 MPH).
Smooth as can be too. Such a beautiful car...

As long as you don't hoon the LFX it'll deliver ridiculously good fuel economy. I was hitting over 30 MPG at 70+ MPH in my rental Impalas in Florida all day long.
