Anyone own a Silverado SS?

Thinking about buying one. I've always loved the looks of them. Anyone own one?

man, I had no idea they had a sticker of $45 grand in 04!

The one I'm lookin at has 69,000 miles on it, several modifications, super clean and well taken care of. He had it listed for $18,750....I have him talked down to an even $17,000. Here is the link to the SS: http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/3561163741.html

For $17,000.....would it be a pretty descent deal? Getting it for a work truck....nothing that would require to get the truck dirty or beat up. I'm driving an Xtreme Blazer right now....and I need more room. I have a Paintless Dent Repair business....so I basically just drive to dealers and body shops.

A couple of my friends owned them and had to complaints other than the poor gas mileage. I owned a 1990 454 SS Silverado and really like that one. The one that you're looking at looks to be well maintained.

build your own SS! Get a New Silverado with the 6.2 option and then decal it like your Camaro. that's what I did anyway

I own a 2009 LTZ Silverado 3500 HD Duramax, paid in the mid 50 grand range for it, VERY Dependable line of trucks. I still have my truck last truck that I work in it's a 2006 Silverado LT 3500 Duramax, The interior didn't hold up so long with the work that gets done in it, but still runs like a champ after having 200,000+ miles on it. But like I said the interior went to hell with the work that gets done with it. lol

I just got a used one about 3 months ago and love it. It is a 05 and real clean I got it for 17k with 60k miles. I pull a bass boat with it and gas isn't that bad.

I had a 03 SS The AWD version.

Awesome truck, snappy, quick for a boat, and plus the awd helped out. The 6.0 was just to much of a gas sucker for daily driver duties though, sold it now I have a 4.8 vortec 1500. Do miss the SS though.

If they will come out with a new one with RWD in a short bed regular cab I'll be all over it.

I don't have one, but I have the wheels off of one on my Tahoe, lol!

In all seriousness, they are great trucks.

More like 13-14 TOTAL anywhere..

I had one, I was paying almost 400$ in gas a month.

With my SS and premium I pay maybe 200 now.

the gas tank is 25 gallons.... and lasts 400 miles

I've been looking at a TBSS. There is a huge aftermarket for both trucks. I've heard the transmission could really use its own cooler in either truck if its AWD.
