Exactly. Every time you get asked what it is would be like that old "Who's on first" skit.

More than likely a 415hp LS3.

I got the magazine. Sure looks like a Camaro concept drawing to me. Not looking to debate ,just saying. There seems to be some kind of super sport coming in 2014,but has not been revealed whether Malibu,Impala,Traverse,Silverado...who knows...just don't get why ppl think it's going to be called simply"SS"??? They(GM) don't want you to know, that is all.

+1, I don't think it will be just an "SS", that makes no sense. I have to believe they will be a little more creative than that. I just hope they keep it simple and affordable.

Assuming this is the SS Concept you're talking about.

And this is not an existing model. It's a rebadged Holden VF Commodore. GM themselves confirmed the name was simply "SS." Did you read the press release?

While the name SS is bad, it is much better than Commode, er I mean Commodore.

Plus, thats a lot of letters to black out with plasti dip!

The press release specifically states that it will be a V8 powered RWD performance sedan. Its not an addition to anything in the current line up because they don't have anything like that in their current line up. They might possibly use another name besides 'SS' but they definatly won't use one of their current name plates. It would be worse than the Lumina/Lumina APV thing from 20 years ago

Could they make a new Malibu SS if they wanted? Sure. But it won't be the vehicle we've been talking about in this thread.
