problem solved...move the Camaro plant in oshawa to Alabama...right to work state...no Union required nor demands. Plenty of open land and a bunch of aero and vehicle build there. Look at what Navistar is doing.

It's all over the place for many companies, foreign and domestic. You can check your percentage here:

My last vehicle, a Honda Element, was just as 'American' as my Camaro.

The way I see it the Toyota name is still based in japan and owned by the japanese. A portion of all profits are still going back to japan. Therefore it is not american by my book. And IMO there commercial sucks lol.

It all boils down to the profits go back to Japan. They are advertising they are made here but the $$ goes back to Japan(70%). I would like to keep my money stateside even if my Camaro is made in Canada, or if a truck is made in MX.

Boeing wants to build a aircraft assembly plant in South Carolina. Unions and Congress said no.

May not be V8 but never heard of a twin turbo supra or the new Lexus LFA?

Toyota and other foreign car companies help drive up the quality in all cars including ones made by American companies. I drive a Camaro for fun but I drive a Tacoma most of the time because it's built to last, it's comfortable, it's good looking, and it's dependable. The alternative Chevy product, the Colorado, is none of those things. If I were buying a full size pickup I'd take a Silverado but I don't care for the size. Just like anything, I buy based on what I believe is the best value for my money. When GM makes a mid-sized truck that can compete with the Tacoma I'll buy it.

I don't understand how a union or a government entity can tell a private company where they can or cannot set up shop.
