Why do others post here?

Why do ford, mopar, nissan or whatever people post here?

This is a nice place and all, however I would have no desire to stick around if I had not ordered a Camaro. I never feel the urge to post on a mustang or whatever forum. What is to be gained from posting on another forum, Im not going to be talked out of my camaro. Isn't their enough whatever car forum's for people? Are people really that desperate for attention?

Sorry for the off-topic rant

It's all about manners IMO.

If you bring flame bait your gonna get burned. If the mods pull my collar i'll back off but anyone picking on this car right now is gonna get auto flame. People freaking out on cars without makeready and clouds reflecting on bumpers etc.

And comparing more expensive cars or models (cought nissan) to this instead of Corvette. Beating vette was never the game plan it was to find something different and more a relaxing daily cruiser.

I drive a Grand Prix but will be giving it back to GM in May when my lease is up. I am a member on numerous auto forums doing research on what my next vehicle will be but now I'm down to a couple of Camaro forums along with 2 G8 forums. You can learn so much about a vehicle by reading and asking questions.

I hope my question did not seem rude, I just noticed reading several posts that there are some posters that seem as if they have no intent of ever buying the Camaro. I was honestly, curious, because before I bought the corvette, I had a s2000 and people on the s2k board did the same thing. I have never felt the desire to post on a forum where I do not own the car. I ordered my Camaro 10/17/2008 that's why I come here.

sweet. thats one thing, im used to members from other places, cus we have an off topic section. and say your significant other owned a toyota supra and it was having mechanical problems, or you wanted to know how to upgrade things here and there. or you hated them and you wanted to know what they were capable of on the track/street.

my local car club forum.... www.fastgm.com has more fords than GM's on there.

i've also learned more about cars in general, as well as many other random topics from becoming a member of this forum. right now, i drive a GMC. i have no clue as to whether or not i'll be able to actually buy a 5th gen anytime in the near future, but it's a car i have high aspirations to eventually own, so i come here to find out as much as i can, and in the process have learned many other things.

i believe anyone has the right to come here, so long as they have respect & consideration for the other members

I figure most of them are sizing up the competition, and some of them are just having some kind of "compensation" issue.

We've never owned a Camaro or Firebird...my dad did build thousands of them at Norwood though...that's about the only connection between me and Camaros. I probably won't be getting a 5th gen. for some time either.
