Great news Donna. I had a sister go through a Kidney transplant, with another sister being the donor. It's quite an ordeal with the rejection, infection risk and so on. I didn't know about small intestine transplants either. Very cool because the alternative is not!! Keep us posted and we'll keep praying.

Mike will be getting his transplant at 3pm EDT today...an organ became available last night and his transplant team is on a plane at this moment to pick it up...
I am shaking so hard right now that I can hardly type or breathe...
Please pray real hard that he survives this surgery which is very risky and very long...
Please pray real hard that his body accepts the organ and that the transplant is a success...
Thank you all very much...
This is it!!!...I will be praying and waiting all day and night until I get word that he is ok...

Thanks, Bonnie...I am sitting here crying like a baby...I am soooo scared for him right now, but I have to have faith that God isn't ready to take him yet...he has been to hell and back for the last 4 yrs with this...I hope his long nightmare is finally over and he can reclaim his life and his health....all the money in the world means nothing if you don't have your health...I know, because I have been sick for the past 3 yrs (a very long story)

I wish I had called him yesterday, but I wanted to wait until today because it was Election Day yesterday and I didn't want to disturb him and his girls being home from school with him...

I just spoke to one of his friends that I met at the Chevy dealership last yr when Keith and I went there to pick up the Camaro...
His friend told me to call tomorrow, because Mike's brother-in-law has been keeping them up to date so far...
Sooooooo, it's gonna be a long day and night until I hear some news....
