New to Camaro6 from Camaro5 :-)
So, I took the plunge yesterday. I have been looking to upgrade my Gen5 (2013 RS) which I love to pieces to a new one, especially with the looming end of production coming. I have been looking at a Dark Shadow colored 2023 model, but EVERY one near me sells out almost instantly, or there was a waiting list a mile long... not to mention the price tags, they are more and more proud of new cars every day it seems.. haha
But yesterday, I went to visit my buddy who works at a dealership (I bought ALL my cars from him) and they were rolling in a "new to the lot" Camaro as I pulled in... I said, "ok, I have to have it, what do you want for it, and what deal can you make me?". Keep in mind, I hadn't been looking at 6th Gen's at all, nor did I keep up with the releases as I should have... My first and only newer camaro was purchased in January of 21, which was my 2013 RS (29k miles, got it for $11,600 with ZERO issues, right before the price boom, paid cash for it!) My wifes cousin just bought a 45th Anniversary edition 3 weeks ago, and here is the kicker... low and behold, the one I was looking at and wanted was a 50th Anniversary edition... I legit drooled and drooled. To spare all the reading, as I love to type a story , I bought it on the spot and man I am NOT disappointed at all! My experience with newer muscle cars stopped after I had to let my 2002 Trans Am GT WS6 go back in the day, and that thing pales in comparison to this baby. 34,000 miles on it, and she shines like a diamond! First thing I did was ordered a Range AFM disabler, and a new K&N Cold Air Intake system like I had in my V6.. Other than that, what do you guys recommend? I love suggestions.. I plan on getting a ProCharger system at some point, but I need to save up again as this wiped out a lot of spare funds. In the mean time, here she is! I noticed that the previous owner must have removed the red pin striping, which I am sad but also ok with as it looks pretty good still. |

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!
