I am not leaning one way or another. I lost a Motor in my 2015 Z at 958 miles (can't say if it was a Valvetrain issue or not, GM would not allow us to open up the motor to CSI it) and GM took care of it 100%. The replacement motor will sit in the frame rails as built by GM until I die or it expires again...the same goes for my 2013 427 Vette...I won't loose any sleep over it in either case. God had them bolted together so we can fix them. Otherwise they would be welded.

On any motor you are revving to the redline should looked at frequently. On my PS motors we would check all 16 springs after each pass. Typically we would have to change 2-3 springs at every inspection. Only broke a couple but they would weaken running 10400 RPM at 1.0 inch + gross lift. Adding Spray Bars helped a little but the biggest gain in Spring life was found on the Spintron and coming up with the best engineered package from the Cam to the Valve Seat. In the end after countless hours of R&D we had springs maintaining after multiple passes.

I do not redline the car. I believe "max" is theoretical; I do not turn my stereo all the way up either. Original rotors and brake pads. All 95K was on the interstate except the 5 miles from my house to the on-ramp. Did the wiggle test on the valves when I changed the springs and all were within spec.

GM would not warranty due to headers/tune. Lost some torque when I added headers until I got the tune (DBR). 503 at the wheels. LG headers with high-flow cats.

Honestly that is impressive mileage for those heads. The LS7 are known for issues with the guides and exhaust valves. We have a great special on heads if you would like to send them in or we have a special for head and cam upgrade with installation for 4299$. This is for a manual car it is a little more for an auto. If you guys have any questions on anything feel free to call us at 313-561-5500. My name is Jake here is the link to the special

Looks in good shape. I've just noticed last week my cradles were starting to show some surface rust. Just finished treating front and rear with a rust inhibitor. They look brand new again. GM went light on the paint everywhere on theses . Stamped steel suspension components are too thin to let the rust take over. Sir, your an owner of a Z/28 that deserved to have one having driven that many miles a day for 4 years straight . I guess the only real way to find out if a Z28 can be daily driven would be to ask you

I love Lou's stuff. Great on the Vette but do NOT buy his headers for your Z/28. Get the ARH. They are the only ones that fit. I had to take a hammer and bash in the driver side down tube to make it clear the oil cooler. Daily driver is a big affirmative. Drove the Z06 daily and this is FAR more fun. Feels like it makes the road pay for every bump and I am pretty sure the carbon ceramic brakes slow the rotation of the earth when going west to east. Best car I have ever owned.

Mine is also a street car, but, not daily. I also drive a lot of fwy and the Z/28 is one of the best fwy cars. You just use all that torque, goosing it between 3K and 5K rpm and passing cars on the fwy like they are standing still. It is so fun to drive like that with all motor. Congrats on all those miles, I am still at 15K miles. PS. both my rotors and pads still look brand new. I did not even do the brakes break-in procedure. I can see how these pads and rotors would go 95K for me also --- fwy driving, you don't brake that much....

Bravo! Make me feel good knowing these cars have the potential to hit 100K miles in 5 years. Congrats!
