Welcome!

I doubt many people in this thread are knowledgeable on 4th gen hardware. Maybe post up a link to what you're looking at, the brand might help us figure it out.

I know for the 5th/6th gens some people have problems with the cheap Chinese CAIs, including the silicon elbow compressing under load.

I had a fourth gen. It's just like anything else. You pay for what you get. I think the most popular intakes were the varam, and K&N.

i got the 3.8L and yea but the k&n's are $200 and i can't bring my self to spend that must on a plastic tube and an air filter for a v6. but any way here is the link it is me most generic thing but has good reviews. https://www.amazon.com/Camaro-Intake.../dp/B00420J794

That says for 95, 96, and 97 Camaro. Someone in the comments asked if it would fit a 99, and they said yes but you'd have to makeshift the vacuum hose hookup. Another said it wouldn't fit at all because of the front end change in 99. The same guy also said there was an engine change, but that was only for the SS from what I can read. Not sure if that's something you wanna deal with just to save a few bucks.

The plastic tube CAIs are better than the metal ones.

craigslist, ls1tech, ebay, facebook, letgo, and a few others i can't remember. just search around, be patient, and keep your eyes peeled.

if its basic bolt-ons: craigslist or ls1tech will be good. ls1tech will have a lot more obscure parts as old or wrecked cars are often parted out but those choices should get you a great start.

edit:search google too as there might be some 'free mods' you can do. there may be some. i know the 97-02 fbody cars have a few 'free' intake mods you can do

looking great there xc_SS. nice add.

I have finally decided on new rims and sizes and tires, blah blah. But now, since I'm going 20x10 sizes, my current tires won't fit on them for front. Well I might as well go with the tire size I want on the front, but doing that would through off the size of the stock size rear tires, as the heights would be too much and throw a code. SOB!! Now I would need new rear tires. The current tires don't even have 5k miles on them. And selling tires is a hassle with my limited free time.

I am wanting to go with 285/35/20 on the front and 295/35/20 on the rear with 20x10 and 20x10.5.

I could probably go 20x9.5 on the front and keep the existing stock sizes. Then when they wear down, go with the new tire sizes on front and back.

thoughts guys?????

thanks! what is your current set up again? i want to suggest running 20x10 and 20x11 front/rear like a ZL1 since you have the supercharger. this way you could run 285/35 front and 305/35 rears
