Decades racing at the drag strip taught me that the only people who lie more than car guys (My car was THIS fast!) are fishermen (My catch was THIS big!).

The truth is, the manual trans C6 SS looks to be 2-3 tenths faster than the new GT. The 10 spd auto trans GT might close the gap some, but C&D has yet to test one (they correct for weather, etc., so I trust their test results more than anyone else).

The 2016 SS manual you're referring to w/ 4.3 0-60 and 12.4 in the quarter were "GM estimated times." This was from an initial test C&D published without instrumented times (they did the instrumented test on the auto at that time).

When they actually tested the 2016 Camaro SS manual (non-1LE), the 0-60 time was 4.0s and quarter mile time was 12.3 @ 118mph
