GM Expects Biggest Profit In 6 Years

Yep...it's supposed to be a pretty big deal. They've even put a media advisory out on the announcement they'll make Thursday.

Should be some good stuff!!

I wonder if its going to be more than Ford's and Toyota's profit. I'd personally have a big "SUCK IT MULALLY" banner if I were Whitacre.

I can't hate on Ford, like that.

I don't know how MUCH it's going to be...but I think steady, reliable profit is more important at this point. In terms of operational costs...GM is in a much better position than many of its competitors -- I hope they use that to their advantage!

The article said it could be $1 billion,which is good news because when GM stock becomes available again soon, this will give the company a big infusion of capital.

Same. That was one hell of a class act from Ford.

Besides...it's better to have both GM and Ford kill off the imports...then we can all go back to hating each other.

It's gotta be more than $2.6B to beat Ford and $2.2B to beat Toyota. I'd be happy with just beating Toyota.
