Angry Can we talk about T/A Conversions?

I just wanted to post something about it... I've been trying to track down parts to convert my 2015 camaro into a Trans am.. Did you know that the Hurst Trans AM kit cost 30 friggin grand? Trans am depot, and trans am world wide are ****ing ridiculous, sorry but I only paid 20 for the car, and you expect people to pay 30k for a God Damn body kit? Someone needs to put a stop to this. Its complete bull shit. Anyone that can help me find a Hurst style T/A conversion front bumper, please help me out here.. I've been searching every where but these pricks are making it impossible to find. None of the people who fabricate them will sell one without the entire 30k kit. The Z/ta kit used to be 5k, and I think what happened is someone got a license to make TRANS AM looking parts from GM and stole the design out from under Z/TA, and has created these companies which jacked up the cost 600%!! Who are these crooks? Super rich ass holes stealing one more piece of Americana from the working man.

Trans Am's weren't meant for you rich bitches, go buy a friggin Vette.

Why not buy a car already converted?

I was a huge TA fan and have owned at least one since 1989.

When GM folded the tent on Pontiac i was angry but they(GM) needed to survive.

Even though i love TA's I would never convert my Camaro but thats just me.

Good luck in your quest.

I looked for one for a few months while shopping for the one I've got now. I couldn't find any on the market at the time... besides the one I ended up purchasing has a "forever warranty" on the drive train.. so I don't think I'm ever gonna sell it. I want a Z/TA and planned on converting, but when I bought the car I was under the impression I could find a conversion kit for 5k because that's what it cost before the guys who are doing it now jacked up the price.

Trans Am Depot does not offer a "Body Kit". If you took the time to visit their site, watch their videos or see any of their cars in person you would understand how big of an insult that is. The level of craftsmanship at their facility is unreal.

Perhaps if a "body kit" is what you are interested in you should have gone with a civic..... Welcome to the Forum !
