Buick Sedan & Coupe?

I would like to see this Opel design end up as a Buick sedan and coupe (Regal?). Why not? GM is bringing the Cruze over from Europe.

Sedan's coming stateside as the Regal. Look up Chinese Buick Regal to see what it'll look like.

Cruze will be built at Lordstown Assembly where the current Delta I based Cobalt is currently built. Buick will be getting the Astra, available in sedan and hatchback, on the Delta-II platform.

Yes, we know the Cruze will be built at Lordstown, OH. The design is being brought over from Europe.

The "Chinese Buick Regal" looks nothing like the Opel design, as can be seen by the pictures below: the left photo is the Opel design, the right photo is the Regal made in China.

Not really. Cruze was designed by Daewoo.

The Chinese Buick Regal is what we're getting. The picture you have up there is the OPC model of the Insignia.

^^^ Opel Insignia.

^^^ Vauxhall Insignia VXR (aka Opel Insignia OPC)

^^ Buick Regal.

The US built Cruze will be virtually identical to the European version.

Let's hope the Buick looks more like the Insignia than the Chinese Regal.

Yes...it's a global architecture...

Buick Regal will look like the Buick Regal...not sure what more you want. It's just a Buick waterfall grille slapped on an Insignia.

What a shame. The Regal used to be a nice looking car. IMO they ruined that design.

I can say it because I was alive back in the day when GM made some real nice cars under the Buick label. That's why.

For all the complaints, all of these cars look strikingly similar. I can't imagine why there is such a need to call a pair of cars without matching grilles everything from beautiful to ugly in the same discussion. Aside from evident front bumper and grille changes, they are all the same car.

They look fine. Some of the best designs GM's ever come up with.

Yeah, right. I don't think so. The Chinese like them though. Buick is considered a "prestige brand" there.
